Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2026. This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

1. Controller

2. Data processed

Through the contact form, the app.votremeilleurtaux.ch application and the chat: name, e-mail, phone, message, financial information you enter (property price, own funds, income, commitments), documents you attach, chosen language, plus your IP address and time of submission for security and anti-spam purposes. The hosting server also keeps technical logs (IP address, pages viewed).

3. Purposes and legal basis

To answer your request, study your mortgage project, send you a simulation or offer, and, with your consent, pass your file to partner institutions (banks, insurers) able to handle it; and to secure the site. Basis: your consent and performance of your request.

4. Recipients

Our staff, our hosting and e-mail providers and, only where your file requires it and with your consent, partner institutions. If Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam or an external chat is enabled, those services (Cloudflare, or the chat provider) receive technical data (IP address, browser) and may be located outside Switzerland, including in the EU or the United States.

5. Documents sent by e-mail

Documents attached to the form are sent by e-mail to info@votremeilleurtaux.ch. Standard e-mail is not end-to-end encrypted; avoid sending particularly sensitive documents without extra protection. Files are not kept on the site’s server after sending.

6. Cookies and local storage

The site uses no advertising or audience-measurement cookies. It only sets: a technical cookie vmt_lang (FR/EN language, 12 months); a local-storage entry vmt_cookie_choice (remembers your choice on this banner). Optional third-party services (external chat, Cloudflare Turnstile) are loaded only with your consent and may set their own cookies. You can clear this data in your browser settings; the banner will then reappear.

Ebook and quiz

If you request our ebook, we process your first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number, your answer about a planned purchase this year, and the date and number of downloads. This data is used to send you the ebook (personal link valid for 14 days) and, with your consent, to contact you about your financing project. It is not sold. You can ask for its deletion at any time at info@votremeilleurtaux.ch.

The quiz is anonymous: your answers are not stored.

If you subscribe to the weekly rates newsletter, we process your e-mail address, language and subscription date (double opt-in by e-mail). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every e-mail; your address is then kept only as "unsubscribed" to honour your choice. E-mails are sent through our hosting provider’s mail service.

7. Retention

Data is kept as long as needed to process your request, then according to applicable legal obligations (notably retention of business records).

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, or withdraw your consent, by writing to info@votremeilleurtaux.ch. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. Security

Encrypted connection (HTTPS), anti-spam controls, restricted access to data. No system is infallible, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
